Here's some one-month-old news forwarded to me from a friend in Texas. Apparently these fellows showed up at a music-trade show in China pretending to be C.F. Martin & Co., as in, Martin guitars. They even copied the Martin logo. And apparently -- at least as of Dec. 15 -- there's nothing Martin can do about it.

While I'm at it, I should mention that I'm smitten with Martin's new Performing Artist series of acoustics. The price is right, or at least respectable, and as Nick Lowe said in 1989, it's got the look I like. More on this series soon.
